Kendama is a traditional Japanese toy, which in the last few years has grown popular to most parts of the world - especially the USA.

Kendama is a handmade wooden Japanese toy which consists of the Ken (sword) and the Tama (ball) connected by a nylon string. The Ken then consists of three cups, and a point designed to spike the ball. Playing the Kendama is all about catching the ball on the different cups and by spiking the ball and balancing the Kendama in as many ways as possible. With all the different ways of twisting and turning of the Kendama, it is said to have 30,000 tricks to practice!

Some of the reasons that intrigues us about the Kendama is that anyone, young or old can quickly learn the basics of playing the Kendama.
